Who am I?
Welcome to my corner of the internet. I’m Sam, a UK-based lawyer with over a decade of experience in dispute resolution. My career has been defined by precision, problem-solving, and navigating the complexities of high-stakes litigation. But beyond the legal world, I’ve always been drawn to writing—both as a means of exploration and as a way to distill complex ideas into something meaningful.
For years, I toyed with the idea of starting a blog, but time and hesitation always got in the way. Then, like so many others, the pandemic forced a shift in both my personal and professional life. Working from home, stripped of the usual rhythms of office life, gave me time to reflect—not just on law and productivity but on the deeper questions of focus, culture, and how we shape our working lives.
I had things to say, and I wanted to connect with others navigating similar challenges. The blog was born—or at least, the idea was. But then life took another turn: I became a parent. Suddenly, writing took a backseat to a new kind of learning—one filled with sleepless nights, discovery, and a redefinition of what deep work even means.
Two years later, I’m finally here, writing and sharing my thoughts. *Deep Work Culture and More* is a space where I explore the intersection of focus, creativity, and intentional living. From insights on productivity and legal practice to reflections on literature and culture, this blog is a place for thought-provoking discussions. I hope you’ll find something here that resonates, sparks a new perspective, or simply encourages you to approach work and life with greater clarity.
If any of this strikes a chord, I’d love to hear from you. Feel free to leave a comment or get in touch—I always welcome a good conversation.
Thanks for reading, and welcome.
