Ode to WordPress (An Apology in Verse)

Dear readers,

You may have noticed some peculiar changes in my blog’s appearance—or perhaps even in its name. That’s because, in a moment of misplaced enthusiasm, I transferred my domain to Squarespace. Almost immediately, I realised my error. Some experiments are best left hypothetical.

Now, as I make the journey back to WordPress (where I clearly belong), I felt that a mere announcement wouldn’t do justice to the gravity of my misstep. And since poetry has long been a medium for both praise and penance, what better way to express my regret than in the form of an Ode to WordPress?

So, without further ado…

Ode to WordPress

Oh WordPress, you steady guide,
Through every theme, each plugin wide,
A platform built with care and might,
To help my blog take wing in flight.

In haste, I wandered, led astray,
To Squarespace, thinking, “I’ll stay.”
But soon I saw, with dawning eyes,
The beauty of your vast design.

You’ve held my posts, my thoughts, my dream,
Each page intact, each image clean.
From drafts to live with grace you move,
An anchor firm, my workflow’s groove.

Apologies, dear WordPress friend,
For wandering far, to then descend,
But now I see with clearer view,
That home is always here with you.

So bear with me, as I restore,
The name, the look, and much, much more.
Through all the changes, ups and downs,
You’ll be the one I call my crown.

For here, my words, they’ll always stay,
In WordPress’ hands, come what may.
